This valve is for an older Kohler Cimarron 1.6g toilet. The original valve for this model of toilet is 3.25". It is impossible to buy a cracker of this size in a regular hardware store. I know. I tried my best. Even the "Universal" damper leaked. So I went online and ordered this genuine hardware replacement.It worked great.The best part is that it snaps in place very easily.The next day I ordered another one to have on hand in case my other Kohler Cimarron toilet should run into the same problem in the future.You need to know the model of your toilet that is in the tank.It usually starts with the letter K (for Kohler I think).
