Review on 🚲 Bell Hub Helmet for Adult Commuter Bicycling by Steve Brethorst

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The helmet is very comfortable and the same chin strap doesn't catch my eye.

This is an excellent helmet. I deducted a star simply because I had to purchase a third-party foam fitting kit (also from Revain) to fill in some of the unvented empty spaces and ensure the helmet fits properly. km there and back, along the city streets. I didn't know it at the time, but the helmet's sun visor and baseball cap turned out to be a real star. I used it (and a few pieces of tape) to attach the rearview mirror to the wire in a way I never could have done if I was trying to attach it to the helmet itself. The chin strap buckle is easy to adjust. and attach/detach. It doesn't come naturally if you keep turning it on and off. The helmet is very comfortable and the same chin strap doesn't catch my eye when riding. Another thing that cannot be taken for granted. In terms of protection, I won't know until I come across something, but it definitely looks well made, and unless Bell knows how to make a hard hat, nobody does. I really liked the helmet protection on the back and back of the head. The clip on the back holds the Blackburn Twofer light securely and in the perfect position as if it were made specifically for it, which may have been the case since Bell started selling it on their website. Holding the canopy up at the back is a HUGE safety bonus in urban environments. This helmet has many small thoughtful details when you add them up. If Bell could offer or sell a custom kit for those who need or want one, this helmet would be perfect. Whatever the case, it's still worth the money and then some
