I've been trying to get hold of this lens for quite some time and finally bit the bullet - and wow I'm glad I did . It's perfect for wildlife photography and I suspect it will work for volcanoes too. :) One feature I didn't mention that made me really happy is the position of the focus ring. If you're shooting handheld, it sits just below your left thumb, making it very easy to adjust focus on the fly. This makes a big difference in situations where autofocus is often too difficult, such as B. with low-contrast recordings or confusing landscapes.
