I can finally (literally!) BREATH A HUGE sigh of relief! We just couldn't be happier with this moisturizer! It definitely seems like the rest of the world has been educated while I grope in the dark that numb toes, chattering teeth and the flu aren't necessarily the most dangerous part of life. Winter! I recently moved to New York from Florida. I was very excited to experience 4 seasons despite knowing that sometimes I have to break through 2 feet of snow and the dangers of blizzards and black ice. However, NO ONE prepared me for this HORRIBLE DRYNESS. it lasts for HALF A YEAR and makes me feel literally HALF A HUMAN! I'm not joking. Seriously, how DO humans WORK? As soon as the cold set in, I began to wake up from terrible thirst and dryness. My tongue was like sandpaper on the roof of my mouth and my voice could barely scratch in the morning. The nose was kind of wet and stuffy, but at the same time dry and burning! (Blowing my nose just made my nose bleed!) My eyelids were literally glued to my eyeballs, and if by some miraculous coincidence despite this feeling I REALLY woke up and felt awake enough to grin.... I dare not brush the slightest smile from my lips lest they unleash half a dozen gory spouts! Oh. And EVVV. What the hell?! But the worst part was waking up with dizziness and a headache! The copious amount of coffee didn't do a damn thing to dissipate the fog to allow me to function! I felt so terrible that I started to think I was depressed. I've never felt so terrible in my life! Then my 3 year old caught a very bad cold that left a persistent dry cough that lasted about a week after all other symptoms went away. Crazy persistence at night, in the morning she just disappeared without a trace. It was very hard to see her suffer like that! She woke up with this cough shaking her whole body! I was seriously on the edge of my mind! Every night I vowed to be at the doctor's office first thing in the morning, and every morning she woke up "she was better," so there was no need! After a night coughing fit that made her throw up, I took my big $$ to the pediatrician because I was now really worried. home..." Of course! This was the BEST perk of our new apartment not having to worry about the kids touching the radiators! Who would have thought that this winter drought would only make things worse?! Who knew there was a dry air winter situation?! Not me! So true! He suggested buying a humidifier and I was sure I heard right! I use a DE humidifier so my clothes dry faster than they could smell moldy if I hung them indoors to dry! We actually got a decent moisturizer that we thought was effective and we were happy (although it leaked! I thought that's just part of it!)......until after a few weeks it broke and the company refused to send us a new L ! After getting scared once, I did some research and settled on AquaOasis. It had some amazing reviews, looked sleek and strong, and loved that it had a built-in auto-filter feature. (And god it even passed my husbands curiosity test. I happen to be an electrician and he has this electronic thing! hearing a faint, low hum... Nothing like the squeaky noise of my previous one! Have been using it for a couple of weeks and can just couldn't be happier! I feel so much better! My daughter's cough has completely gone and I wake up rested, awake and ALIVE! Headaches are gone, my eyeballs are no longer in a "sticky relationship" with my eyelids, and I'm not afraid my lips will "pop" if I accidentally laugh! alive... so, uh... MOISTURE! Sounds banal, but it's TRUE! The best investment ever!... and....I saved the best for last...You know what the heck I discovered guys?!My psoriasis and eczema improved so dramatically I came back here for one for my mother to buy who also le idet under eczema! Humidifier - BEAST! Anyway I'll keep you posted if anything changes, but so far so good! I just want all of life's problems to be solved so easily and accurately! Keeping you warm guys... and MOISTURE ;)!
