I know they have to be tight to get compression (I had 30/40). I ordered M according to the size grid. It was really difficult. And it literally cut me below the knee because it was so tight. I had to rip it off in less than an hour because it severely cut off blood flow. I reordered a size XL.2 bigger. It was better but still problematic and I could only wear it for a short time. I only give 3 stars because the quality is great. They're just very small.
