This is a stainless steel washer. Well made and not too expensive. Buying gear locally is getting harder and harder as the big stores that don't carry mom and pop gear have gone out of business so unfortunately we either have to be unable to fix things anymore or give up and Use Revain. It's not that hard to find. !

First of all I think the washers were just loosely thrown in the box and then the box was badly taped because my wife lifted the box and the washer fell out. You can shake the box and hear the pucks jingle inside. I tried one washer and it was about 5/8" as pictured. I would return an unopened box with any number of washers in it, but I would spend more money on gas to drive to a UPS store, than for a refund.

They are thin so as not to take up much space between lock nut and nut. Didn't need the thickness that other applications require. They are made of stainless steel and therefore rust very slowly. And they give my project a more finished look. They must be used on a workbench, which requires a lot of mounts. Carriage Bolts, Locknuts, Nuts and those flat washers are needed to tie everything together so the bench doesn't fall apart after the spell is cast. Hundred pieces in a pack. Four stars…

I confess that I am a fan of inaccurate descriptions. These washers are marked with "! / 2". Description of the material is fine listed as 18-8 don't worry but the size. SAE washers are the same size as USS or AN washers. But to me, a 1/2" washer has a 1/2" ID, which equates to a .500" ID. A 1/2" RATING washer has an inside diameter of just over 1/2" and provides 1/2" clearance. A 2" bolt shank that's not actually 1/2". I just want to list the ID, OD and thickness so the buyer knows exactly…
