Suitable for climbing: Nuts

I needed a few more pieces to finish my climbing wall and didn't want to buy 100 pieces. 5 or 6 of them had tangled threads. Check them before installing.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some small things

Good quality and good price

These things worked great. I used them to attach layers of .75" mats together with 1.5" long 1/4"-20 machine screws. Good quality and good price. Worked as stated.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Not suitable for reuse

Bolts are 5/16 long, too short to hold nut in place with repeated use. While these nuts are suitable for single use (and even then, 10% will "flatten" instantly), but not for use on a climbing wall, for example. This requires at least 3/8 long teeth.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Negative present

WRONG METRIC SIZE Fits T-nuts

Pack of 50 looks great but when I tried to fit a 1/4 x 20 screw I realized it didn't fit. They didn't fit. So I took out the gauges to see if the pitch matched and found that 20 didn't match. Found them to be M6 x 10 which is metric. The bag clearly shows 1/4 - 20 x 7/16. RETURNS

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Upgradable

Pull only function

We've tried using them as part of a shelf with a threaded rod but they won't stay in place. I'm sure they work fine if you put a bolt and washer on the other side and tighten, but it looks like we could hammer them in and thread a rod through them, which doesn't work. .

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Ideal side for 3/4 " melamine and plywood

This smaller t-nut is ideal for plywood or melamine. Every time I make a shelf I start by laying levels on the floor which I can later hide with moldings. That may be overkill, but installing a set of shelves that aren't perfectly level is going to drive me nuts. Levelers are cheap insurance. 5/16" T-nuts and aligners are small enough to fit on 23/32".

It's not worth it. in T-Nuts

I bought 1/4-20 x 7/10" T-Nuts instead of standard nuts so more threads are involved when using long bolts and thus the bolts still remain getting shorter As far as I know, that's really the only reason anyone would buy over-length t-nuts. Unfortunately, the threads don't extend any further than standard short t-nuts, even though they show them all the way to the edge in the product photos. That doesn't make them any better than the cheaper and more affordable - standard lengths which makes…

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Only "pull " works

We've tried using them as part of a shelf with a threaded post but they won't stay in place. I'm sure that they will work fine if you insert and tighten the bolt with a washer on the other side, but it seemed like we could hammer them in and thread a rod through them, which doesn't work.

Pros
  • Height: 7/16"
Cons
  • Some bugs
