I confess that I am a fan of inaccurate descriptions. These washers are marked with "! / 2". Description of the material is fine listed as 18-8 don't worry but the size. SAE washers are the same size as USS or AN washers. But to me, a 1/2" washer has a 1/2" ID, which equates to a .500" ID. A 1/2" RATING washer has an inside diameter of just over 1/2" and provides 1/2" clearance. A 2" bolt shank that's not actually 1/2". I just want to list the ID, OD and thickness so the buyer knows exactly what to expect. The inside diameter on them was too big for one application, too small for another, tiring them and being able to use them as well.
