Super useful waterproofing goo.

This stuff is great for waterproofing more than just your roof. For example, I got this can to waterproof the inside of a large flower pot so that I can use it as a bird bath.It works for roofs, too, but you will need several coats. It will stands out as an obvious patch, so you should collect some of the colored granules from your current shingles, from a gutter or downspout, dry it thoroughly, then sprinkle it on the last coat before it's dry. Does a great job of toughening it up and hides…

Pros
  • So much better than other rubber sealants I've used - paint actually sticks to this one!
Cons
  • Can came dented pretty bad.

Exactly what hubby needed for dripping gutter joints

Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal LiquidMy mother-in-law's home still has its original gutters from the 1950s and one reason we've never changed them is because they are incredibly rugged and don't bend or get crushed by leaning a ladder on them. However, they've got joints and the original caulking in those has been leaking for a long time. My husband reapplied caulking inside the gutter every year that he cleaned them out, but you end up with a caulky lump in the gutter that becomes a dam for…

Pros
  • Very impressive goop. Works better than expected. Great product.
Cons
  • No..It didn't work

Painting with 1/4 Tar and 3/4 Paint

This is a very good product and different than "paint". The consistency is like one part tar and 3 parts paint. Gorilla Paint to was used to coat a slightly sloping tin roof; using a roller was easy, using a brush was messy and a challenge. The product is advertised as "self-leveling" and it really works- the Gorilla paint on the roof leveled nicely and the surface was smooth.Expect brushes to be single use as Gorilla Paint is difficult to clean off with paint thinner, so I just used…

Pros
  • Adhesives & Sealers
Cons
  • Not environmentally friendly

Thick and protective

Thick, waterproof, and strong hold, but it does take longer than the can suggests to fully cure.I used this on the board going under my countertop over the dishwasher. I have had steam ruin the countertop boards there before and it looks like a couple layers of this will provide plenty of protection. I used a mini-roller to get fairly even coats, but don't expect a very smooth layer because of how thick it is. Maybe warming the can would help get things flowing better, but this worked fine for…

Pros
  • Long-lasting sealing power to ensure leaks or cracks are fixed for good
Cons
  • Can only be used for small repairs

Plan to use the whole can at once

I managed to get three uses out of the can but it wasn't easy. The can is hard to seal, and when you do get it sealed the stuff adheres so well it is hard to get open! The second and third uses were within 5 days and I had to break through a layers that had solidified in the can. Not complaining, because I like this product, just passing along some usage information. Also, I got about 9 square feet of coverage out of the can. I probably would have gotten around 12 sq ft if I had used the entire

Pros
  • PAINTABLE: Works with both latex and oil based paint; When coating with oil based paint, use a primer first before painting
Cons
  • Takes a long time to dry completely

Works well even beaten up

I’ve been pretty happy with the Gorilla line of rubber products I’ve been using recently so when I needed to put a seal around some roof vents this was a good choice to try. Functionally it works well. I was able to paint it on around the vent pipes easily enough. It goes on thick enough that I didn’t have an issue with running, and seemed to set in the time listed (It was 76F and sunny at the time). Time will tell if there is any extreme shrinkage and breaking but initially after a couple days

Pros
  • Ez to apply good stuff
Cons
  • It wasn’t thick and very messy to work with

Clear, High-Quality Waterproofing

The Gorilla Waterproof Patch and Seal Liquid in clear is of the same quality of all of the Gorilla glues and products I've tried. It's among the best. This product is clear, and the instructions say to stir for 30 seconds before applying, but as it's clear, I couldn't see any difference between before and after stirring. You can brush, drip, trowel, pour, or roll this on. I used a small disposable brush, and was happy to find that the liquid is self-leveling, so it looks better than when you…

Pros
  • Non-toxic and safe for use around pets and children, providing peace of mind
Cons
  • May not provide a seamless finish

This is like liquidy pudding in consistency. You can put it on with a brush. It will self level as well. It is a bit hard to apply to a tilted surface unless it is contained within, say a groove.I have used the spray on version, and this is better for applying exactly where you want it.I used this inside gutters to seal the connections between them, and also where the downspout is attached to the gutter. It does very well in that sort of application, it sort of flows into the areas that need to

Pros
  • Dries clear, making it a great option for nearly any surface
Cons
  • May shrink and crack in certain conditions

THICK N SLOW! - my new review

There is no such thing as a thin coat, so get that outta your mind. This product, much like Flex Seal (can, not spray) goes on extremely thick. It’s like using a paint brush to spread maple syrup on a pancake. And that’s what makes it work so great!I put this to the test on a leaking and dilapidated bird bath. The thing really should be replaced but I figured I’d try and seal it first.White would have been better for this job but all I was offered was black, and I needed to paint it blue…

Pros
  • Good product
Cons
  • Box and can we’re dented really bad. Sent it back. Will not use as I don’t know if it is safe

Works great but….: my feedback

Yes it’s waterproof. Yes it’s sticky. Sure anyone wielding a brush or roller could apply. Shortly after applying it turned yellow, I did paint over it all but I’m still concerned that it might turn my paint yellow. Also my paint cracked on top of it after allowing the instructions dry time. It also stayed sticky for 3+ days after applying. My last complaint is that it’s "self leveling” capabilities only work if you put it on a surface that it isn’t going to run or drip down. Lots of other…

Pros
  • Superior to every other product like it available.
Cons
  • Box in which product came perfect but product was sent badly dented all around,WHY?

Great Gorilla Quality Waterproof Sealant

I really like the quality of this Gorilla brand patch and seal. You can get the color that works best for your application. I really like the clear and white versions for sun exposed areas as they seem to heat up less and last longer. All of them have UV inhibitors which help them to resist sunlight exposure. The can came dented but was still sealed and filled with useable product. It is thick and sticky and can be messy to apply. If you are careful and don't get any on the rim of the can you…

Pros
  • It is waterproof, making it ideal for outdoor repairs or projects
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove if applied incorrectly

Works very well, drys quick too.

Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Liquid, Black, 32 Ounces (Pack of 1)-I have generally had really good experiences with Gorilla products. I use the glues and caulks often but I hadn’t tried this yet. It reminds me of the flex products and it was just what I needed for my roof. I have a carport addition that was added some years ago. Where the addition meets my house I will get a small leak so once I figured out where it was coming from this did the trick for sealing it. The question at this…

Pros
  • EASY TO APPLY: brush, roll, trowel, dip or pour; Once applied, the self leveling formula smoothly covers small gaps and cracks ensuring a watertight seal
Cons
  • May discolor some surfaces

Love this stuff - my new review

My can arrived very very damaged, but the lid was still intact and nothing was leaking. So, it's still good quality inside, even if I had to tape the bottom so it would stand upright. The top wasn't bent at all, so the top was easy to remove and just as easy to close (use a hammer, as you would with a paint can).I ordered this to protect an area on an outside tarp that had been fraying in several areas. It applied easily and dried quickly, and looks great. The tarp is back to A1 condition.I…

Pros
  • Can be used to patch and seal roofs, making it an essential for all homeowners
Cons
  • May not provide the desired level of protection

Gorilla Waterproof Patch and Seal 32 oz can White

The adaptability of this waterproof patch and seal makes it the solution for a wide range of tasks. It can be used on a variety of surfaces like concrete, wood, metal, brick, aluminum, glass, etc. I poured it over some backer rod in a concrete expansion joint that had enlarged due to water entering the crack and then freezing. With a steady hand it was easy to pour but for greater control I transferred it to a plastic measuring cup with a spout. To avoid further issues that freezing-thawing…

Pros
  • Bonds strongly to most surfaces, preventing the need for costly replacements
Cons
  • May not provide a long-lasting solution

Sticky and shiny for my opinion

A week after application, in sunny 85 degree weather, our outdoor patio is still sticky to the touch and looks wet. We haven’t tested out how well it sealed, yet.

Pros
  • Resistant to weather and various temperatures, providing reliable sealing in any conditions
Cons
  • May be difficult to apply in hard-to-reach places

It does yello in my review

I only applied a few weeks back but it seems to be dried and sealing the leak. I highly recommend.. It did yellow though from the clear start.

Pros
  • I highly recommend.
Cons
  • Literally a glue

Revainrating 5 out of 5

better than I thought

really good flow and easy to control and apply. Better than others I've tried. Sticks to ANYTHING - even foil tape (mastic tap top).

Pros
  • Versatile liquid adhesive that can be used on a variety of surfaces, including wood, metal, plastic, and more
Cons
  • May not work well on curved surfaces

Wood deck repair in my review

I needed to make some repairs to rotted wood on my deck. After cleaning out all the rotten wood, I filled with this patch and seal. It has done the job, and I'll be able to get more life out of my deck before replacing. The only issue was the can was so banged up I had a hard time getting the lid off, and then I couldnt reseal it so I had to throw the rest away.

Pros
  • Can be painted over once dry, blending seamlessly into the existing surface
Cons
  • May not hold up well under heavy traffic

Revainrating 2 out of 5

not really good for everything

It's supposed to be good for sealing wood . It does coat the wood but: rubbing it with some pressure this stuff does come off. It does not get into the wood and adhere well, like a primer or adheasive.

Pros
  • It is resistant to impact, making it an excellent solution for areas that see heavy use
Cons
  • May be expensive compared to other options

Revainrating 4 out of 5

good sealing adhesive

good amount of sealing compound that holds together really well. fume are a little strong but in all reality is to be expected. good value.

Pros
  • Provides excellent adhesion to porous surfaces like concrete, masonry, and landscaping materials
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in areas with high humidity
