These curtain rods do not have the magnetic strength to hold the curtains I purchased up. I bought these to try and add some insulation to my back doors as we have had some really cold weather these last few weeks. I attached the curtains and the magnet started to slide down the door! I ended up having to put the magnet so it rests on the frame around the windows so that it can't slide down. Also the plastic piece that makes the rod expandable does not hold the smaller piece stable at all so…

the magnets are awesome however i order wrong size and have to return these . i ordered 16x28 for french doors those should work fine.

These magnetic curtain rods are exactly what I wanted for my kitchen door. I didn't want to put holes in the steel door so I purchased these. The only problem is I only wanted 1. I don't need 2 but it was cheaper to buy the 2 pack. An excellent purchase.

These work pretty well on the small window next to our front door. I wish the magnets were a little bit stronger, though, as we have one at the top that tends to slide down frequently. Still a good purchase, though, and way easier than drilling holes for a traditional curtain rod.

I bought this metal rod to hold curtains on my back door in metal casing. It is very strong can can hold weights very well. The finish is very nice as well.

I purchase these rods to go along with my curtain. Prefect! Thing only con is that I wish the rods came in gold. my hardware in the foyer is gold but the sliver do not look bad at all. The ones I had for 15 years was white and plastic and did not hold up. It was easy to install and very sturdy. Great price too.

I just needed these to keep the baby washcloths separate from all the other kitchen towels. It's almost overkill with how strong the magnets are. Not that I'm complaining. I love that they are adjustable, but would have preferred if the rods screwed into itself to adjust the length. I supposed that's not very feasible considering the design. Nevertheless, because of the strength of the magnets, this baby isn't going anywhere.Installation was child's play.

Would have been fine except I had a lot of screwing around to make it work. Should have taken seconds. Took much longer. The rods are 2 sizes (since one is inside the other). That means the magnetic holder out on the ends need to have 2 with a smaller hole for the small rods and 2 with a larger hole for the larger rods. The magnets are very strong on these rods, providing perfect holders for my sheer door curtains. Exactly what I was looking for. The 'fit' of the rod into the magnetic holder is tight, but once together, it stays together.

These were easy and perfect for adding a curtain to our metal patio door. However, when I realized the side windows were plastic instead of metal and got stick on pieces of metal for them, the weight of the magnets was too much for the glue on the metal pieces. Awesome if what you need them for is metal, but definitely not going to work otherwise.

I bought these for my front door which is composite not metal or wood because it was the only ones I could find to fit my small sidelights. I figured I would use just the rods. My handy husband ended up drilling a few small holes for screws into the brackets after taking the magnet out which is very simple. Just screwed it to the door and worked like any other curtain rod.

It's not difficult, you just insert the rod into the endcap that has the magnetic which secures it. The problem was I couldn't get the rod into the endcap. The diameter of the rod was larger than the diameter of the end cap. Made burlap curtains for French doors. Rods are easy to install and the magnets hold great. This is on our back door and it gets a lot of use. No slippage and no falling off.

We had new steel doors installed and suddenly realized we had no way to hang our curtains back up in the kitchen. I found these magnetic ones to be just what I needed. They were light, extendable, and easy to assemble. They came in a package of two, which is what I needed. I'm pleased with how they look. Just make sure that if you adjust them after you attach them to a metal door, you pull them completely out, don't try to slide them, or you could scratch the paint.

This replaced an old plastic towel bar with magnets on the back. This bar, used for kitchen towels, is much stronger and more attractive. The only criticism I would have is that the bar is just a tad closer to the frig surface making it a bit harder to hand the towels.
