Wow! Had 2 surefire, changed batteries both 1 needed new lamp.wow new lamp is easily twice as bright! No idea length or durability, just took off outside spring held side by saide w other surefire w new batteries.no comparrison.I blinded myself after looking directly in, lol.

This was the perfect replacement part for our SureFire G2 Nitrolon flashlight. It is much brighter than the original too. I'm grateful we were able to swap this piece out instead of replacing the flashlight.

Puts out very very little infrared light even when using my 3rd gen white phosphor night vision. Don't throw your money away on this bulb!

The assembly is longer than the original assembly so there is about a 1/8” gap when the reflector housing is screwed back on. This is after removing the spring. The light quality is just ok. The cheap 1865 flashlight that I got recently is a lot better. This upgrade made my P6 usable instead of being obsolete.

Like the title, Surefire Shotgun Forend replacement for Rem 870. Removed the large outer spring, stretched the smaller inner spring to OAL of about 3/4". Very bright, way brighter than the OG incandescent. Saved me $400 on a new forend or like $200 I think for the Surefire upgrade kit. Super satisfied.

I ordered this led to use with my night vision and it is very bright. However this is definitely an 850 nm infared led assembly. It is NOT 940 nm as stated in the decsription. You can not tell from the photo but. When looking at the led you can see a red glow. If it were a a true 940nm you would not be able to see the red glow.

Picked up both the 850 and 940nm IR versions, using them in my old Surefire G2 bodies. As mentioned by others, the spring is too big and should be pulled off. It still barely fits, but the shell makes contact with the battery sleeve and it works. One unit was DOA but was replaced quickly. Improper fit for Surefire 6P and inconsistent beam (flickers, doesn't work, then works). This is a bad replacement for the P60.

After removing the larger spring as is stated in the advertisement, it fits well in my P60. I used it for a couple of hours last night and it remained the brightest out of the three flashlights we had in our group. Having only had this bulb a short time, I can not attest to its longevity but so far I would recommend this to a friend.

For 10 bucks, it’s an excellent budget ir light, especially if you’ve got an old light sitting around that takes this bulb. Obviously not on par with $300 surefires or even more expensive weapon mounted ir illuminators, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s 10 dollars.

I didn’t rate night vision because it isn’t something you’d ever do with NVGs, if they just mean can you see in the dark, yeah it’s great. I didn’t talk durability because I haven’t used it really hard yet. What I will say is that it is extremely easy to swap out, and much brighter than the original bulb (which was the brightest thing ever back when I used it for work). It will also greatly extend the life of your 3v (123A) batteries.

This lightbulb does not fit a surefire. I had to modify both the bulb and the flashlight in order to make it work. That's my review!

The color was good. It reminds you of the old school incandescent flashlights. Is it bright, but not nearly what it is listed at. Is describe it as maybe 200 lumens with a strong hotspot and a smooth transition to the surround. I like it.

Installed the bulb as directed and it did not work. Replaced with new batteries and still did not work. May have received a defective bulb.

I normally hate LED bulbs because they’re too white and too harsh on the eyes. I saw there was a yellow light if this, looks just like the stock incandescent bulb for my surefire 6p, but much brighter. Very easy on the eyes!

Initially, I was going to return this lamp. As other reviews noted, the large spring must be removed for the bulb to fit in a Surefire light. I tried it in a G2, P2, and a M951, and all required the spring to be removed. After removing the spring to make it fit, the bulb did not work. I contacted the seller and they quickly offered to replace it it or refund the price. After fiddling with the bulb, it did work. Understanding the light is 940 nm the visible light should be zero and there was a small amount however using my night vision security cameras the amount of IR light was almost non-existent! I would not purchase this item and I returned mine.
