Apparently the USB cable that comes with the light is designed to convert voltage to an awkward voltage of 4.something volt while most devices in the world are now 5-volt friendly so that It is easier to find a way to charge the battery even if the supplied charging cable is lost or goes bad. These are not bright so not used for light but they look great. Hard to get a good picture or video because the flickering light freeze. But they look like a flame. Have two on my back patio and there are many trees in the way of a ton of sun light, but they get enough to stay on for several hours. You'll need to mortise a notch for the pin plate if you don't have that style already. Does not come with the collar to replace the plate for doors that have that style. Otherwise, they have a smooth operation and are built well enough for interior doors. If I were putting in nicer doors, I would probably spend more money on nicer door handles, these are definitely builder grade.See full review

First off- the packaging the product comes in is absolutely sleek and stylish! I also appreciate the thank you note that came in the box- the tutorial is quick and easy to follow.
