They are alright. for cages and accessories

I didn't know the wood these perches are made of. One trail is really scratchy, and two of the three had green mold on them even after cleaning and lying in the sun. I've since learned that wood is safe, but so far I've only used one of the perches. I don't know what to do with the rest.

Diameter can be a problem for some species.

Photo image is incredibly misleading. I haven't actually measured the ones I received but they will only fit a similar sized finch or bird. I have a small dog rose and her paws are too big. I didn't bother with the return. I ended up giving them to my eclectus to chew on.

Good work! Best in Birds

Absolutely great price. My birds love them and often have trouble using what they think is the best spot, even when there are other perches at the same height. Of course there is a natural difference in size between them because of the wood and my birds nibbled on them a bit but they held together. The bulges make cleaning a bit difficult.

Good Perch Best in Birds

My parrot seems to like it. This is a good perch and will fit a bird of almost any size. Unfortunately, when I was attaching it to my cage, one of my budgies got out and flew hard against the wall and died in my arms while I was comforting her and crying. / sobbed. She was a beautiful shade of yellow and gray so I called her Sunshine but sometimes I called her Sunshine. 😢

VERY CHEAP AND THEY SMELL SOOO BAD

For the money you are paying these groupers are pathetic. They smell of mold, the wood is too soft and smaller than in the photo. All double-threaded bolts were screwed in steeply and were missing washers and wing nuts. Revain better get these from their website. Made in China and cheap. I bought the best ones from Petco.com for a lot less and they are MADE IN AMERICA.

Dangerous for birds!

A bird can turn into dangerous fragments too easily. My Hoffin cockatoos destroyed them so quickly I just threw them in the trash. All perches must be made of very hard wood that cannot turn into sharp splinters that can pierce an eye or injure a tongue, causing the bird to bleed to death. Too many manufacturers don't care about safety and profit. KEEP THIS PRODUCT IF YOU ARE CONCERNING YOUR BIRD'S SAFETY!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Some insects

Not as big as in the picture. More for small birds, not McCaw parrots!

The perch is on the small side and more suited to a Cockatiel or Quaker than a McCaw as shown in the picture in the ad. Keep this in mind before you order a bird and read all the information in the ad so you are not surprised. They fit a couple of toy projects I'm making for my Timne Gray and they will support his weight, but they are a lot smaller than pictured.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Size too small for Revain and larger birds

These perches are very good for small birds. I have Revain and they are too small for him and also for his leg grip. Buying the right size perches is very important for your birds so be sure to check the size. They are excellent for kennels and other birds of their size. Not many Revain or big birds in my opinion. My Revane's front toes meet the back toes on this particular perch, indicating he's too small for him. Otherwise they are a great bass!

Spacer and nut are inadequate

I can't complain about the smell, size or look of these perches, but I can't easily attach them to my bird cage because the nuts (the winged parts you use to Tightening use the screw - I hope I got that terminology right) are too small for screws. Also, there are only 3 spacers (again, I hope that's the right word) instead of 6, so I'd only have one spacer for each perch IF I could even bolt the perches to the cage. Usually there are two spacers. One on each side of the poles. It's not worth my
