Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal LiquidMy mother-in-law's home still has its original gutters from the 1950s and one reason we've never changed them is because they are incredibly rugged and don't bend or get crushed by leaning a ladder on them. However, they've got joints and the original caulking in those has been leaking for a long time. My husband reapplied caulking inside the gutter every year that he cleaned them out, but you end up with a caulky lump in the gutter that becomes a dam for leaves and many of them still drip because the caulk covers the joint but doesn't get inside of it. Since my husband has used Gorilla brand adhesives for years, I figured that he should give this one a try. It's been a wet spring, but he finally got a chance to peel off the old caulk on one of the leakiest joints and apply this. Since it has a gravy-like consistency, he used an old cough-syrup cup to scoop some out and pour it on the joint and then used a cheap paint brush to work it all around the joint and the excess flowed out and self-leveled into a smooth transition. It hasn't dripped once the last two rains that we've had, and he’s thrilled about that! Highly recommend.
