If you handle it with care, the complete neoprene cover that protects the lenses and the camera as a whole should be enough to satisfy your concerns about their safety. Got pros: 1. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of both the photo and the video. 2. I don't need a lot of autonomy for what I'm doing (taking photos and making short videos that are less than a minute long). Got cons: 1. Losing connection to Wi-Fi on a regular basis. 2. The documentation for the camera and its menu system does not provide a great deal of detail and is not kept up to date. Several of the settings are not easy to understand, while others are not even covered in the instructions. 3. I had to devote a significant amount of time to trial and error in order to determine where (in an application for mobile devices or a desktop computer) and how to export materials in the desired quality.
