Description of X Ice North 4
- As for a studded tire, it's ridiculous for it to be so quiet. If I'm being completely honest, I was shocked to find that my summer Nordman is noisier than the studded Bear. Perhaps these sensations are because I changed my shoes quite late, and the asphalt is already cold, which caused the summer noise to increase; however, damn it all the same!
- Expensive, but I'd rather spend more on a solid winter tire than scrimp on my children's health and safety, therefore I'm willing to pay the extra money.
- Nothing
- I went away for two seasons, there are no spikes from the word at all, with a normal driving style, I don't press the slipper on the floor, I don't grind, I have a variator, it is contraindicated on it, and I don't press the slipper on the floor when I drive.
- gorgeous appearance The manufacturer's lofty assertions, as well as those of the salivating autobloggers
- The cost of maintaining such control When maneuvering, you have the impression that you have caught a rut and that at any moment you will go into an uncontrollable skid.
- Outstanding performance on both dry and wet pavement, during the winter as well as during the off-season. They produce only a moderate amount of noise, they steer perfectly on paved surfaces (the sidewalls are fairly stiff even on the 65 profile, the thrust wheel does not break in corners), and they do not become floppy when the temperature outside is positive. When switching to summer tires (a Michelin PS4 to a 55 profile with an even higher load index and a very stiff sidewall), it doesn't seem like you've changed from a car to a bog as it did on the XIN2. Instead, it feels like you've moved from a car to a bog. On ice, the grip is not as "anchor" as that of the 8 Hakkapelita, but the predictability of control is much better - sliding as the lateral load increases does not happen abruptly, but the car starts to be somewhat pulled, and this happens a very long time before the breakdown into a skid. When driving on ice, it feels like the tires are covered in coarse sandpaper rather than spikes, which results in a fantastic sensation regarding both the location of the car and the margin of the grip.
- They "flatten" worse and row worse on soil or a yard covered with snow as compared to the XIN2, which is owing to the stiffer sidewalls of these tires. Traditionally, for the entire series of XIN tires, so-so directional stability in conditions of "track after a heavy snowfall" means that you continuously have to taxi, but on rolled snow it slows down better than XIN2. The composition of this rubber is rather rigid, thus it is difficult to predict how it will act when exposed to a temperature of -40.
- Price that is acceptable, falling halfway between the lowest possible and the highest possible. When compared to noise, soundproofing is approximately equivalent to the performance of Velcro. When cornering on a wet pavement and porridge, there is a lot of excitement. Pulls front-wheel drive that weighs 1300 kg uphill on a slope that is entirely icy like in the summer.
- If you push yourself a bit too hard through fast corners and with the sharpness of the steering wheel, you will rapidly find that the excitement is quickly replaced with a foul scent from the pengers. Contrary to what was implied in the advertisement, the edge of the skid is sharp rather than wide. The circumstances on the road are continually shifting, and the rubber urges you to keep your attention fixed on the most catastrophic outcome possible. In the corners, this was by far the worst product that I had to roll at any temperature from 0 to -10 (let's be extra careful).
- Excellent traction despite the snow.
- This is a terrible inconvenience! Strange sound while I was behind the wheel! When compared to my previous tires, the Michelin X-Ice North 3 is simply not competitive.
- Very balanced rubber - good road holding on all surfaces. Quiet on the pavement, clings well to the ice, it also behaves decently on wet pavement. The snow is falling well. Very strong - it flew into different holes, but once it flew into a cutout in the asphalt, with sharp edges and deep, I didn’t have time to turn it off - the blow was very strong, I was worried about the rubber, but in the end the front disk burst, and the rubber on it is whole! And neither one nor the other was hurt in the back. This struck me, given that, judging by the reviews, their past models were weak. Well, the spikes no longer break! ) And they are all in place for the season!
- Floats a little in deep snow (I drove into the forest). Also snow porridge for 4ku, although I don’t know the rubber that rides well on our porridge. Price (not counting my case), although I think that the price / quality match.
