Due to a knee injury and a recurring iliotibial band problem, I've struggled to walk again in running shoes. I've run 27 marathons in shoes with an 8-10mm drop and I just couldn't feel comfortable with a 4mm drop. On the advice of my massage therapist, I switched to Zero Drop and found that these Altras were responsive and had enough cushioning to last up to 70+ minutes. I'm primarily a triathlete so I use them for training and speed training and I really like them. Note, if you are just transitioning to zero drop, wait 3-6 months (especially if there is an injury) to allow your body and board to adjust. It will be worth it in the long run, but you don't go to zero from an 8 or 10mm shoe overnight.
