Straight cosmetic screws. I installed them on my Indian Scout Bobber to replace the plastic caps that the mirrors had on other models. Fits perfectly. The manufacturer gives you right and left hand thread screws with a small piece of cloth (Indian Scout right hand thread). The only limitation I have is soft aluminum. No effort is required to tighten them. When installing the screws, I over-tightened one by hand. Slipping off fabric or soft metal broke off the tip of the screw. Since they are pretty cheap I bought a second pair to replace the damaged one. Otherwise they look great.
