There's nothing wrong with that. It will take a little getting used to cracking it as the latches have never been damaged. It will become easier to use over time. It's really easy to use a heavy duty belt with it and easy to detach compared to regular belts. I just wish they had much stronger structural integrity to keep them from sagging when worn. on the belt loop. It would be better for the manufacturers if they made it double layered or somehow made the belt structurally stiffer.
