We bought two sets of these hooks - one in satin nickel and one in black for our bathrooms. Specifically, we got them because we didn't want to drill into our doors as they are shaker style and thinner where we would need to drill. My husband feels comfortable and works as a site manager. He measured the position of the hook, used the glue as instructed, let it dry for a few days before we attached the hook, and the first night we hung the towel it fell off in the middle of the night. While we were looking for either a different hook or a different adhesive, we ended up using a second bath towel hook that fell off after about two weeks. Luckily it didn't damage our newly installed tile, but traces of glue had peeled the paint off our new bathroom doors. It is not recommended to use the supplied glue. Take another glue and then use screws. Unfortunately the screws that came with it don't work for us either and we need to get others so this really wasn't a good buy for us.
