I've been looking for a new microphone for a long time and decided on the Shure SM7B. The problem is that even with my audio interface I need more gain to get the sound I want. This is where the MB-1 comes into play. I was planning on getting the Cloud Lifter as I figured that would be my only option. Let me be the first to tell you to save money on a cloud lift and get an MB-1. I get 25dB of pure gain and it's a lot cheaper than the alternative. The unit is well built and once you plug in the XLR cables you never have to look at it again. I installed mine under the table. Perfect fit for this microphone.
