I have a pair of essential insulated coveralls that I wear for outdoor work or hunting. A few weeks ago I must have caught her on something because a small hook started to form and got bigger after washing - about 1/2 inch in diameter. Although the hole itself didn't really affect the overall's performance, I found that such holes in cotton garments only get bigger over time and these overalls are no longer made. I'm fine with a needle and thread but this hole was above the knee and with insulation it would be a hassle to sew up and in the situation with COVID I didn't want to go to the tailor. So I reluctantly decided to try the flat iron. So these patches work great - they seem to stick perfectly once you follow the instructions. My only quibble is that the black patch was a few shades lighter than the black jumpsuit, which looked a bit ridiculous. , so I took my Sharpie permanent marker and just colored it black, and now it's almost invisible. Let's see how long it lasts. I machine wash these jumpsuits, but I don't put them in the dryer, I hang them to dry.
