I recently purchased a new office chair with a very short gas cylinder, making the chair too short for me to use with my computer keyboard. No worry. I purchased this 6" gas lift cylinder from Ebay and replaced the ridiculously short cylinder and PRESTO, my new chair was now tall enough to use with my computer desk. This particularly cylinder will raise your chair off the ground, guaranteeing your feet will dangle. I could have gotten buy with something shorter. What I like about this cylinder is that in the LOWEST position, it is the perfect height, meaning I am not worried about it sinking and needing adjustment throughout the day. My chair is always the right height now. You WILL NEED a pipe wrench to remove your old cylinder before installing this one (no way you will get the old cylinder off with anything other than a decent pipe wrench, plenty of YouTube videos to demonstrate). Easy to install once the old cylinder is off; 2 minutes.
