Tears easily in envelopes, mailings and mailings

I really like this as I am concerned about the use of plastic and try to reduce single use plastic where possible esp. However I would only trust this band with light work and possibly a move if I make all the boxes myself. I would not ship a heavy case of this volume. Why? I don't need scissors to cut as much as I need. In that sense it's like masking tape. I just pick the right angle and apply the opposite pressure and the tape snaps. If it breaks, it feels brittle, not as strong as duct tape. This means I can't completely replace my regular plastic tape with this one as there's always a chance of it tearing right on the edge and opening my box during shipping. HOWEVER, it gets a lot of credit for being biodegradable and the fact that I can use it to replace MOST of my plastic packaging tape needs is good enough for a 4 star rating. It's more yellow than my regular masking tape, but when applied to a surface, much of that yellow dissolves and is difficult to see. I recommend this, although next time I buy similar tape I might try a different brand to see if it's more tear resistant.
