After a week of use I confirmed this was what he believed to be true. I bought a brand name 70 pint desiccant a few years ago. Worked well until it recently broke. I was surprised it couldn't be fixed. So I figured I'd get a commercial dehumidifier. This block is really heavy, but once you have it in place, you don't have to assemble anything. There is an LCD touch panel that allows you to control and adjust the humidity level. It's not very sensitive, you may need a few more touches. The front panel controls the humidity, time setting and fan speed. It comes with a washable filter for easy maintenance. It also features a drain hole for continuous draining and requires a metal sleeve to function properly. The water drain to the sewage system is nearby and works perfectly for me. I haven't used the reservoir but it seems to last for a day. So the performance of this commercial dehumidifier is great, much better than my previous 70 liter model. My old machine runs non-stop most of the day, but this commercial machine runs a lot less. However, it kept the indoor humidity as low as I set it. This device isn't cheap, but it outperforms smaller devices. Especially in areas with high humidity, it is worth the extra investment to maintain a constant level of humidity that protects furniture, equipment and people's health.
