We live on the ground floor of a high rise building in a major city and all of our windows face one direction. The service was terrible inside but everything seemed fine from the outside. So I thought I'd try. I'm limited as to where I can put it because I'm not scaling a 12 story building to fit the roof, so I attached it to our patio railing and got a flat adapter cable so I can route it under the back door ( This was a life saver as I was afraid I would have to return the booster because I can't drill through the bricks of my house). This consistently gets me (AT&T) from 1 bar to 4 and my husband (Boost Mobile) from 1 bar to 3 or 4 bars (no more dropped calls, which used to be a problem!). It's not perfect, but it's more due to our placement in the building than the booster. So far we are very happy with the signal improvement and overall the purchase has been a success!
