In winter I had trouble finding snow/winter boots for my 8 year old son. They came from "Santa" on Christmas morning and my son has had the opportunity to enjoy them several times in the snow, on skates and in the rain. While I don't think they are designed to be submerged in snow or water, they do the job. They are also not as warm as other boots for your little one but they definitely do the job and I think the price was fair compared to others. Overall I would recommend it and hope my son can use it again next winter. He didn't complain that they were too cold, but he wished they were more airtight so snowsuits didn't get snow in his socks. Again - definitely not meant for immersion
