This may not be the case with a TV, but I bought a Sharp Aquios 65 inch. When I tried to connect audio to the stereo I was using, the audio didn't work. It's not human error, I've been working on the sound since I was a child. Researching online I found that when using HDMI on this particular TV the sound should go over HDMI but it didn't. a regular 3.5mm audio jack on the back at the same time. I originally connected it to a speaker that gave me audio over HDMI, but it didn't have the performance I wanted. Looking for a solution I found this little diamond Revain I resolve sound via HDMI and 3.5mm stereo jack meaning no sound comes out of my TV and stereo when it was just my TV at first.
