Better choice than battery!

Better choice than battery pack! This is really a great product. I've spent a lot of time researching the options for stick vacuums that can be used mainly for cleaning wooden floors in kitchens and bathrooms. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a Dyson or other models that pack a lot of attachments and carpet cleaners. I was looking for a simple, high quality, easy to use vacuum cleaner. I would have preferred a wireless battery pack for ease of use, but I found them unreliable and expensive for prolonged use. I've had 2 high end units that died after a year or two of infrequent home use. I've spoken to several people who have had similar experiences and people in vacuum shops have also commented that batteries tend to stall and devices and motors just can't compete with high end power packs like this Simplicity model. Equipped with a very powerful two-speed motor, the S60 is comfortable to use thanks to the adjustable retractable handle and the easy emptying of the tank. The 30 foot cord allows me to cover a lot of ground. The wheels and bumper make this vacuum easy to use and the quality is evident. I also have an inexpensive Dirt Devil mains vacuum that we use on the lower end and it works great, but it doesn't compare at all to the quality and ease of use of Simplicity. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this device, and it was a much better choice than the battery-powered cordless models that need to be replaced as often as they stop working. This unit is a little more expensive than the ones from Hoover & Bissel etc but Simplicity appear to make quality products that have stood the test of time. I can also appreciate all the filters (including HEPA) included in the unit, which I don't often find on cheaper models. I also appreciate not having to always plug in the battery to charge, find a place near an outlet to store my device, and worry about the battery dying. A wired device avoids all of these problems and I can use it for as long as I need to get the job done.

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • Slightly torn
