I ordered 2x (red) first, I felt like a trifle. But 1x was out of every color I considered. Then I thought about the difference between 2x and xxl and decided to run with it and swap it out. XXL (grey) suits me much better. I also wear 18 in my pants. I am pear shaped but with long limbs. Plus sizes add height to the body but not length as far as I understand. Even size (not plus) seems to lengthen the arms and legs as size increases, not just the body. In general, you can safely see that xxl fits better than 2x.
