You get what you pay for
, I bought two of these and they are not calibrated the same; one read a higher level than the other. However, both reacted to changes in humidity. They don't have a calibration mechanism, so you just have to trust them to work and be close enough. If you just need one for the room to check in from time to time, this should work. We have a humidifier in our room for our baby so we just wanted to keep an eye on the humidity and get an overview. If you need accuracy I would look elsewhere.
