This review is for the CHUG cap. the pivoting cover is silent. The grip is strong and reliable, does not hit the nose. This lid has two seals. The first is on the part that screws onto the bottle itself. The second is on the lid, which screws onto the spout of the lid. Both seals appear to have little contact with the actual water in the bottle, which is a huge plus. However, if you don't let the bottle air dry every night, it's likely that mold can grow on these seals, which is true of all water bottles, and there's nothing to be done about it. The good thing is that these seals are white, so you can easily spot mold or mold stains and get rid of them quickly. The OEM Hydro Flask lid seal is black, making it difficult to see mold or mildew. I have tried several caps for my water bottle and this is the one I will use every day.
