Beware the big spill

I love the idea of this bottle. It works as advertised unless you need to take it with you. If you only use this bottle at home, then everything is fine. If you try to take it anywhere - like in a car, it's terrible. And that's because the white lid covering the hole at the top of the lid keeps falling off (see photo). Pair that with a 50-ounce version of this mug that's too big to fit in any car's cup holder. Since you can't put this in a cup holder, I tried placing it in the passenger seat. NOT CORRECT. The white rubber cap on top of the cap has fallen off. The problem is that the hole is so WIDE that almost all of the water ended up on my passenger seat. I really don't know why this is even a design? Why would you wear that white rubber attachment that falls out when you breathe on it? Was it because of the straw that wasn't in the cup? This is really bad design. I got this because I wanted 50 ounces to refill to meet my goal of 100 ounces of water per day. This seemed to fit the bill. But the design of that white rubber stopper on top is TERRIBLE. Manufacturer, if you're listening, can you tell me why you put a white rubber stopper on the big hole that won't stay? It makes zero sense. I really wanted one - but the design is terrible. Be careful if you're trying to travel with it in the car - there's no chance it'll fit in a cup holder, so you'll have to somehow hold it properly while you get where you're going. Really disappointed.
