Feathers stick out and fall out

I bought two 12x20 pillows I was looking for two standard sized pillows so I was shocked when the pillows arrived (my fault I didn't check the size looked when ordering) but they were very soft and quite comfortable for a pillow to sleep on so I kept them. Bottom. The fabric used for the cover is of poor quality. Even when covered with two standard pillowcases, the feathers stick out and poke and scratch my face and the feathers fall onto my bed onto my floor. I've had several down pillows and these are the first to have feathers sticking out and falling out.
