We all know that cats will jump into any box that comes through the front door. I'm still a bit annoyed that I bought a box for my cats, but they just LOVE this thing. When we first received it, there was a strong smell. I don't know how to describe it - chemically? Glue? Oil? In any case, I had to let it air out before the cats got close - obviously. As soon as he stopped smelling, they immediately accepted him. I had an issue with them still scratching furniture in the living room (although there are ENOUGH spots to scratch) but when I put it in the room they went there immediately. They like to dig at the bottom and also like to just sit in and "hide". We have three cats and they all use this thing. I'll get a few more for other rooms (and each has their own :) Remember you'll need to put it somewhere to air before giving it to them.
