The materials used are not as thick as genuine Dyson parts, but again this part is only a fraction of the price. Since this part isn't as "heavy" as the original, I'm assuming it will probably break a bit sooner. Regardless, I can afford to replace a part multiple times and still be $$ ahead. Installation only takes a minute or two. I only gave one star for the quality compared to the original, but this one seems far superior to the original. I would buy this again instead of a genuine Dyson part.
