Review on πŸ‘™ Maxine Of Hollywood Women's Plus-Size Shirred Front Girl Leg One Piece Swimsuit: Flattering, Comfortable & Stylish Choice for Curvy Women by Danielle Aycock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally found a suit that I like for a full figure!

I love this swimsuit! And I don't think I've ever said that about the bait suit in my adult life. πŸ˜€ I have an hourglass figure, down is half up. I buy tank top style two piece swimsuits with shorts because I can get different sizes. But I find that swimsuit shorts tend to lift my legs when I walk, and in the water the tank top fills with water and floats away from my body, revealing too much. So based on other good reviews I decided to give this one a try. The costume is beautiful. I bought the blue and the colors are a bit lighter than the picture and there are gold accents which I couldn't see online (but knew what to expect from other reviews). But really, the costume can look like anything and I'll still love it because it FITS! The best thing for me is the "girl's leg". There is a lot of tissue in the legs, thighs and buttocks. The suit has a 'ruched' appearance throughout the body, allowing you to position your legs as you wish without altering the look of the suit. I could wrap the legs around my thighs like a 50's style suit or let them follow the line where my leg and hip meet. Anyway, it COMPLETELY covers my ass and doesn't move. My next favorite part is the armhole. Sounds weird I know, but I appreciate that the armhole on my side is higher than most other suits. I have a large bust and the higher sides provide good coverage even when leaning forward. The fabric is comfortable inside and out. We recently spent a week at the beach and I will be wearing the suit all day. I felt comfortable and confident. It was so nice to have time to play with my kids and not fight with a bathing suit or be covered up. A suit doesn't make me magically slim, it doesn't hide my overweight, no suit can do that! But what I've learned from wearing this suit is that when I wear suits that are meant to minimize my size, they actually make me more confident. Wearing a suit that fits my body and staying in place gave me the freedom to enjoy the reason I was wearing the suit. In order to give an honest review, I would like to point out a few minor flaws: - I felt the size was too big. Usually it's good if you want a smaller size, but when ordering online it's good to be sure of the size. I usually wear an 18-20 in most pants, so I chose 20 to make sure my bottom half would fit in the suit. After trying it on, I'm sure the 18th would have been enough! I didn't have enough time to exchange it before the trip so I took it as is and everything was fine. I just think I would love it even more in a smaller size. I'm small and really small. Suit wasted longer than me. But for me, that always applies to all types of clothing. If I were taller or thinner the sizing might be a bit more appropriate so take that into account. Chest support is almost non existent. While I've always felt protected, some support would be nice if you're going to be wearing the suit all day. Again, the smaller size may have offered me a little more structural support, or at least pressure. I would like this suit to be offered in other colors.
