Soft plastic case - for some reason I was expecting a hard case but I like this one better so it's nice. The handles are comfortable. Easy to get to but feels safe. The only downside is that I'm holding the iPad "upside down" (landscape with home button on the right and power button on the top left, headphone jack on the bottom left, power plug on the right), which means the top handle is on the bottom. But it's not even worth giving a star for. I'll update this review if anything changes, but for now I'm happy with it. Edit: After using it for a while, there are two things that bother me. First is the orientation, which I've mentioned and others have commented on - it's not a big deal, but the home button is on the left and the volume buttons are on the bottom. Another problem is that it is very difficult. to connect the power cord behind the handle above the connector. There is a distance as wide as a finger between the pen and the spot you are trying to hit, and it is difficult to draw a straight line. That would be fine for a headphone jack, but all my Lightning cables have a straight connector. The handle is a bit flexible, so it bends to the side, but doesn't stay bent. I'm thinking of cutting the handle an inch and using a sugra to make a side jumper to allow the cord to run straight in. But the holes in the corners proved very useful; To one I added a ring so I could tie the pin to the case.
