Our breeder recommended we get a high-velocity dryer for our long-haired German Shepherd. I was like "it can't be that important" - well, I was wrong. We live in the rainy muddy Pacific Northwest and this is life-changing. This model isn't the most powerful compared to a professional version, and it does make weird noises on occasion, but we use it indoors and out to get dirt and water clear of his coat and will probably continue to do so until it perishes. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone much bigger/hairier than him - for instance I don't think it would be best for our Newfoundland friends. But it's a good budget version.
