"skin " has recently become a different quality?
Sperry shoes fit perfectly. The color was as expected. I've been ordering Sperry shoes for many years - lately I've noticed (IMO) that the quality of the leather on the upper and sidewalls isn't as soft and supple as it has been in years past. Are you using a different leather quality/type now? I will probably continue to buy Sperry shoes, but I will not buy them online to inspect the leather in person before buying.
