Review on Brentwood Non Stick Electric Skillet SK 45 by Jay Swearengin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Had to return it after trying to make pancakes with it for two weeks

Had to return. 1. (others have said this) The temperature markings on the dial are absurd. It's designed as cheap graphics, not easy-to-read numbers. 2. It has an unnecessarily high handle on the lid for storage in a cupboard (on the side). Under the handle is a thick ring with ventilation holes. 3. I noticed that it wobbles a bit on two different (flat) surfaces. 4. The heating is NOT uniform, just a ring in the middle. 5. To bake a pancake (why I bought it) the setting had to be on 80%, but only the part that was above the "ring" of heat was cooked, the rest was raw. Too bad because the wire was thick, otherwise it was a solid block with a thick non-stick coating. Engineers need to adjust the heating element.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Style 90
