Review on 🍴 Kershaw Ration Multi Tool Spork: Stainless Steel Spoon, Fork, Carabiner, Bottle Opener - Regular and XL Sizes by Jeff Henkhaus

Great design is best in crockery and cutlery

I received this item a few minutes ago so I'm just giving a first impression. There are products, especially these metal knick-knacks, that make an instant impression. That seems "correct". The proportions are good, the finish is good, the weight and the balance. It's just one of those things that seems nice and well thought out. The spoon appears to be the same size and proportions as a teaspoon from an ordinary dish. These are normal size, normal shape and normal depth. The fork seems pretty good too; The tines aren't as long as the fork on your dinner table, but they're longer than any fork I've seen. Since the gaps between the fingers are of different heights to match the curve of the carabiner hole, they are not all the same length. But it looks like the longest is about 7/8" and the shortest is about 5/8", so the fork should be big enough to hold the food. negative but I think if they tried any alternatives it would cause big problems elsewhere: 1) the carabiner is in the middle which is kinda weird. But if they stuck it at one end, they would have to put an end to eating with a fork, which would be even worse. 2) When eating with a fork, it would be more convenient if the spoon was upside down so that your thumb is on the concave side and your fingers can wrap around the curve at the bottom of the spoon; but if they did, from the side it would be a big U-curve from the tip of the fork to the tip of the spoon instead of a nice S-shape, which I think would be a terrible design. In general it doesn't fit into your dining room as well as a real fork and spoon but I think it will help when away from home, it's well made and feels good in the hand.
