Review on Puig 6486W Touring Windscreen with Clear Visibility by Robert Carlson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good purchase, I wish I had bought it earlier

There is a regular 2015 R1200GS. After the proven wind protection on the GS Adventure test drive, I wanted more wind protection. The BMW Adventure shield is overpriced —> $300. Did a lot of research and decided to try Puig. Visually, this acrylic pane is perfect. It was a little impractical because the curvature of the screen wasn't the same as the original part above the mounting holes. Some say the brace is necessary to reduce vibration. Yes, it vibrates a little (in any position) but not much. Wind protection is excellent. Much smoother and less jarring ride than the OEM screen. My height is 5 feet 9 inches. The only real downside is that when driving on the freeway there is too much wind resistance to raise/lower the screen (which you can do with an OEM screen).
