Even beginners can use this kit. The origami figures are cute and colorful. Many of the patterns are easy for young children to make. I have one piece of advice when getting this set and that is to do them in the correct order. Finish at least 1 to 10. We started with a rose because my daughter liked the pattern and we struggled with it for an hour and finally gave up. The next day we try again with 1, and it seems that the complex is ordered by numbers. My two kids were able to complete 7 drawings in just over an hour. They took pride in every task they completed and enjoyed it too. They also developed an instruction book style and were eventually able to complete the rose. So start from scratch until you feel comfortable. Overall I am very happy with this origami kit. This keeps them off the iPad and allows them to work together to solve any problem. I'm glad they included two sheets in the template.
