Review on MechWorks PDM by Mark Strong
Mechatronics is very useful for managing complex quotes, manufacturing and purchasing requirements
I like how easy it was to navigate through all my parts in one place. The search feature works well as does being able to see what part numbers are used by each customer or supplier. It would be nice if you could export your database into another format such as csv so you can easily import it back into other programs later without having to re-enter everything again! That's not really an issue but just something i'd prefer over exporting directly from mechworks itself. Having access to previous versions makes troubleshooting issues much easier when they occur.
Pros
- Easy To Use,
- Very Easy Database Search Feature,
- Excel Document Creation is simple.
- Easily view data related with customers/suppliers order history etc..all within same system for ease.not many software suites provide that type convenience!!;
Cons
- /The inability (at this time)to extract files using "export" features instead needing only use excel templates which isn't user friendly at first glance
