The first. Don't forget to go into "Display settings", "Advanced display settings" and change the default frequency of Windows to 144 Hz. Then go into your graphics card software and enable Freesync or Gsync. In fact, it will probably already be enabled, but usually only for full-screen games. You can enable "windowed or full screen mode" if you want. The build quality of the monitor seems to be very good. So far (just a few days) no problems. No dead pixels, no graphic glitches. I like the stand, very sturdy and adjustable to any convenient height. Finding the right screen settings for games is a bit more difficult. At 1080p, the graphics will be a little rough around the edges - that's the price of going up to 27 inches instead of 24 at that resolution. It's not a problem, but if you want the perfect picture, you'll have to shell out another $150-$250 and get a QHD resolution screen. Color accuracy is great, brightness is excellent and I hardly looked back. dim light in a dark room. Viewing angles are excellent, a definite improvement over TN or VA panels. The only downside is that blacks on IPS will never match blacks on a VA screen, but they are much better than on TN. Variable refresh rate seems to work well with gsync (I have a GTX 1060) and since this is actually a FreeSync monitor I think the same goes for all Radeon cards. I would say don't include the fastest response time as you will definitely feel the chroma impact on all screens at 1ms. Response time at the second lowest level is excellent, with no noticeable lag. There's no real reason to go beyond that unless you're a professional gamer, in which case you'll almost certainly end up with a much more expensive monitor. I'm still playing around with the color settings, brightness, etc. The presets are interesting, but they're all a bit off for me. The Vivid and HDR effects are amazing, but the contrast and brightness are off the charts. The reading mode is definitely weird - I don't know who buys a gaming monitor for reading. For now I'm sticking with "Gamer 2". So far I'm very happy with this screen, it lives up to the bill for a quality gaming monitor. If you want a sharper picture, you'll have to go back to a 24-inch monitor, or double the money you're willing to spend and get QHD.
