Very soft but initially water repellent
All cotton towels these days seem to be chemically treated to make them soft. That's fine, but the chemicals make the fibers repel water instead of absorbing it so you have to wash the chemicals out of the fiber before it becomes a real towel very soft when new but NOT absorbent until washed dozens of times that's about it what you can find in a towel today with a few very expensive exceptions I see overall this is a good deal in today's market.
