Review on 🌿 Greenzla Eco-Friendly Kitchen Sponges 15 Pack - Natural Hemp/Sisal Biodegradable Cleaning Dish Sponge for Sustainable Living by Tessa Dolan

A sustainable alternative to my favorite cellulose sponges

I love cellulose sponges. They're getting harder and harder to find. I actually bought a couple of custom (but pretty much the same) kitchen size cellulose sponges YEARS ago. They last forever and come out of the dishwasher clean and sterile. So I got to the bottom of this once great loot and felt I had to give it a try. Motivated in part by my concern for the environment (which selfishly always succumbs to my Joan Crawford mania for a clean kitchen), I remained skeptical. But. These are very good alternatives. They work like a kitchen sponge with an absorbent sponge (most important side) and a cleaning surface. They absorb liquid, they can be used for cleaning (but I don't know if they're nonstick, so I'm going to play it safe), and they do everything you do with a sponge (except money, which they never do). will return - that's a sponge I don't like). The only caveat: They're not as malleable as a cellulose sponge, but they're certainly malleable and useful. When you're done, you can toss them on a compost heap (if you have one) or in an organic/green trash can (which you should have). According to the manufacturer, they are 100% recyclable. I'm not ready to talk about their durability - you're dealing with someone who has made a few packs of cellulose sponges that will last at least ten years (maybe more).
