I bought this for my nephew and he loves it. He is obsessed with stuffed animals and other animal toys. I saw this and thought it would be a great creative toy for him. He thinks up the best puppet shows. It's a good size, not very heavy and quite durable as he takes it everywhere and can be rough with his toys. It was a great purchase and a great gift.

My son saved money and ordered. The body movements are amazing. The mouth is reinforced and does not seem to fall apart. It appears to be designed for both right and left hands. You need finger strength and control to operate the barrel and my fingers want to move at the same time so this is not for very young children. In general, it will be a puppet. can grow and be used for years with proper care.

This is an impressive hand puppet but probably not for young children. The barrel can be controlled by placing two fingers in hard circles attached to the strings. With these controls, the elephant can bring the tip of its trunk to its mouth as if eating or drinking. We bought some hand puppets for Christmas and the elephant was everyone's favorite. It is the most versatile. Controlling the trunk is easy to learn and once you get the hang of this doll is quite a lot of fun.

The elephant doll was wonderful. It was realistic down to the wrinkled skin and toes.
