Very stable with a few small modifications. It is used on an e-bike whose battery is located in a luggage rack above the rear wheel. On the top bracket, I rotated the clamp bracket 180 degrees. This allows me to move the footpeg back an additional 1.5 inches (40mm) for more stability. Note that I also added two zippers to the leg. The bottom one runs over a wire lock to keep the foot from slipping over the adjustable cleats. The top binding ensures that the foot does not crawl up the leg on the stand. I also used blue Loctite on all the fasteners after deciding on the final position of the stand. The bike is stable even with a load on the luggage rack. .
